Tactical Pack Comparison.Mystery Ranch or TAD Gear Fast Pack?

In order for you to truly benefit the real taste of comparing tactical assault packs is that you need at least 2 of your most wanted packs. I know this can be markedly costly at first but it is well worth the investment. In doing so this will at least give you a hands on review on both packs.Just by at looking at photos on the internet and reading the pros and cons on other peoples opinion is not sufficient to satisfy your thirst. You need to really understand the features and have a actual touch on the back packs. Anyways back to the comparisons. Once you're squared away in selecting the right tactical pack you can either return the other pack for refund or sell it on ebay and recoupe your investment back. This is what I do when I am so anxious in selecting which tactical pack to choose from. It's fun. I will give you my real experience.

I wanted a TAD Gear Fast Pack tactical and a Mystery Ranch 3 day assault pack. What did I do to kill the cat? I ordered the Fast Pack with funds I had saved up from my paycheck and then the next payday went ahead and placed an order again for the Mystery Ranch 3 day pack. Used 2-3 day UPS. For the circumstance that I could not wait for each one. Seeing a beautiful UPS truck stop by in front of your home is an awesome feeling!!
But lets get on with my comparisons. First thing I did was put both tactical packs side by side. The TAD Gear Litespeed is a little shy in cubic space. The mystery ranch has a cubic space of 2000. Still markedly good since it is a 3- day pack.

TAD Gear Fast Pack litespeed features:
1)1300 cubic inches
2)PALS Web
3)Carry 1 full hydration 100oz bladders
4)Hypalon Reinforced Top Handle
5)Clam Shell Open Design.

Mystery ranch 3 day pack features:
1) Made in the USA
2)3-Zip Access
3)Futura Ruck
4)Futura Yoke
5)2000 cubic inches

Then went on to compare the cordura fabrics on both. Mystery ranch has a markedly good quality develop and its a 500d cordura. This will be the standard in all tactical packs according to some other manufacturers of assault packs. Fast Pack Litespeed uses Invista 1000d cordura. This of course is still the standard fabric. Its tough and waterproof.

Stuffed the pack:
Well I went ahead and filled my mystery ranch first with my old army bdus, pt uniforms, old poncho liners and boots. Filled every pocket with good old chem lights and still had room to spare .Accessing the front of the mystery ranch makes it easy with the tri-zip design. With the added weight and such the Mystery Ranch did not look to bulky at all.Putting this pack on is a delight.Feels so comfortable due to the right amount of foam. The way it contours on your back makes this the best system ever.

Jump over to the Tad Gear Pack and did the same thing. Packed it with more extra items like my air items that was used for airborne attachments to the rucksack. The Fast Pack litespeed still manage to have extra space due to the cubic inches of 1800. That's good enough storage space for EDC.If you decide to add extra utility pouches and ammo pouches the PALS webbing makes it simple to attach in different locations onto the pack. This Fast Pack is very comfortable due to thick padding. The waist belt is just a simple waist strap with quick releases
.
Now on the waist belts. The Mystery Ranch has an easy wasy of tucking the waist belt when not in use.Available pockets are at the ready.Just fold and turn the waistbelt inward to the pocket inserts and they are tucked away neatly. The Fast Pack on the other hand you just roll and tuck by hand. Both packs are tremendous in the harness adjustments.Shoulder straps are adjustable.Sternum straps have easy quick-release buckles.

The only thing that seperates the Mystery Ranch to the TAD Gear is the price.TAD is priced at around 280.00 while the Mystery 3-day is around 325.00 to 384.00 dollars.Make cents?
Now the final decision.Which Tactical pack I took for my personal? Mystery Ranch 3-day...All day.
